Strengthening Collaborative (FSFSC)
A trusted community organization founded in 1996, FSFSC serves approximately 2,500 families annually — primarily Black women-led households in Ward 8 — through holistic programs in family and youth support, economic empowerment, and community engagement. FSFSC was awarded a $25,000 grant to support its general operations, including critical staff retention, enhanced capacity-building efforts, and rapid responses to emergent community needs like housing and food insecurity. The grant is expected to sustain a safety net support for the Ward 8 community, strengthen FSFSC’s operational infrastructure, and support the ongoing health literacy program.
